Rio Linda Elverta is all about Recreation ......

We are fortunate in our community to be surrounded by tremendous park and recreation amenities for our enjoyment. Check out our facility rentals and other local facilities. Besides these, we are also near the Sacramento and American River for boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing or just enjoying a ride down the river.

The Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District is proud to be part of such a vibrant and unique geographic area not only in the North Sacramento area but the nation. We encourage you to get out, go play and have fun, enjoying the many opportunities of our area.

City and County clear the way for annexation of Park District land!!

The City and County of Sacramento approved a revenue sharing agreement between themselves allowing the City to go forward with the annexation of the "handle" portion of land within the Rio Linda Elverta Recreation and Park District.

The City has proposed and agreed to pay the RLE Recreation and Park District $18,000 per-year for 5 years, then however, no further payments after that. Which means, over time the RLE Recreation and Park District will loose millions of dollars in property tax revenue! Currently those monies are currently used for Parks and Recitation services to Rio Linda Elverta, which is approximately $12,000 per-year.

The next step is the City and County will need to seek approval of Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCO) sometime in January.
